About New Dawn Behavioral
A Legacy of Compassion, Excellence, and Lasting Recovery in Moreno Valley
Our Story
How a commitment to compassionate care became a beacon of hope in the Inland Empire
New Dawn Behavioral was founded on the principle that every individual struggling with addiction deserves access to world-class treatment in an environment that honors their dignity. Nestled in the heart of Moreno Valley, California, our center was established to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and the deeply personal nature of recovery.
What began as a vision shared by a small group of addiction medicine professionals has grown into one of the Inland Empire's most respected treatment facilities. Our founders recognized that the communities of Riverside County needed a comprehensive residential treatment center that combined evidence-based clinical care with the comfort and privacy of a luxury retreat.
Today, New Dawn Behavioral stands as a testament to that original vision. Our 16340 Perris Blvd campus has been thoughtfully designed to create a sanctuary where healing can flourish. Every detail, from our private rooms to our landscaped grounds, reflects our belief that the recovery environment plays a vital role in the treatment journey.
Over the years, we have guided hundreds of individuals and families through the challenges of addiction, helping them reclaim their lives and discover lasting sobriety. Our alumni network extends throughout California and beyond, a living testament to the transformative power of compassionate, evidence-based care.
Our Mission
To provide exceptional, individualized addiction treatment that restores hope, rebuilds lives, and empowers lasting recovery. At New Dawn Behavioral, we are dedicated to treating the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — within a luxurious, supportive environment where every client is valued, respected, and given the tools to thrive beyond treatment.
Our Core Values
Clinical Excellence
We uphold the highest standards of evidence-based treatment, continually advancing our clinical methods to deliver measurable outcomes and the best possible care for every client.
Compassionate Dignity
Every person who walks through our doors is treated with unwavering respect and empathy. We believe that dignity is the foundation upon which lasting recovery is built.
Individualized Care
No two journeys through addiction are identical. We craft personalized treatment plans that address each client's unique needs, history, strengths, and goals for recovery.
Holistic Wellness
True recovery encompasses the whole person. We integrate physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual healing into a unified approach that nurtures complete well-being.
Community & Connection
Healing happens in relationship. We foster a supportive community where clients, families, and staff form meaningful connections that sustain recovery long after treatment ends.
Integrity & Transparency
We operate with honesty and accountability in every interaction. From admissions to aftercare, our clients and their families can trust that our guidance is ethical and forthright.
Our Approach
A comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment philosophy grounded in science and elevated by compassion
At New Dawn Behavioral, our treatment philosophy is rooted in the understanding that addiction is a complex, chronic condition that affects every dimension of a person's life. We reject one-size-fits-all approaches in favor of comprehensive, individualized care plans developed by our multidisciplinary clinical team.
Our approach integrates the most current evidence-based therapies with holistic modalities, creating a treatment experience that addresses the neurological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of addiction. Each client undergoes a thorough biopsychosocial assessment upon admission, which guides the creation of their personalized treatment plan.
We believe that sustainable recovery requires more than abstinence. Our programs are designed to help clients develop the self-awareness, coping skills, emotional resilience, and life strategies necessary to build a fulfilling, substance-free life. Through a carefully structured continuum of care, we guide each individual from the earliest stages of stabilization through long-term aftercare support.
Treatment Modalities
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Identifies and restructures negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to substance use, building healthier cognitive frameworks for long-term recovery.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to manage intense emotions without turning to substances.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one sessions with licensed therapists provide a confidential space to explore personal trauma, co-occurring disorders, and individual barriers to recovery.
Group Therapy
Facilitated group sessions foster peer support, shared accountability, and the development of social skills in a structured therapeutic environment.
Family Therapy
Engages family members in the recovery process, repairing relationships, establishing healthy boundaries, and building a supportive home environment for sustained sobriety.
Holistic Therapies
Yoga, meditation, art therapy, mindfulness practices, and nutritional counseling complement clinical care to promote whole-person healing and stress management.
12-Step Facilitation
Guided introduction to 12-step principles and community meetings, helping clients build a recovery support network that extends well beyond our facility.
Continuum of Care
A structured path from first contact to lasting independence
Comprehensive Assessment
Every journey begins with a thorough biopsychosocial evaluation conducted by our clinical team. We assess medical history, substance use patterns, mental health status, and personal circumstances to design a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
Medical Detoxification
Our medically supervised detox program provides 24/7 monitoring by board-certified physicians and registered nurses. We ensure safe, comfortable withdrawal management with medication-assisted protocols when clinically appropriate.
Residential Treatment
Immersive, structured residential care in our Moreno Valley facility includes daily individual and group therapy, educational workshops, holistic activities, and life skills training within a supportive, substance-free environment.
Outpatient Programs
As clients progress, they transition to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or standard outpatient services, maintaining therapeutic momentum while gradually reintegrating into daily responsibilities and community life.
Aftercare & Alumni Support
Recovery does not end at discharge. Our comprehensive aftercare planning, relapse prevention strategies, alumni community events, and ongoing support groups ensure that every client has the resources to sustain lifelong sobriety.
